I wish I was reading this a couple of years ago!!

It would have saved me a lot of money!

Well it might not be a lot of money to the guys who sold me their Forex trading systems, but it was to me. I spent thousands of my hard earned and saved dollars on Forex systems that promised big results, yet did not deliver for me.

Don’t get me wrong, some of the Forex systems work; I actually talked to people who did get results from the programs.

Unfortunately I was one of them!

Yes you read it correctly I made money in my first week of trading!

In Forex you basically trade long term or short term, I was doing the short term trading (a day or less).

Yes I made good money thousands of dollars, boy was I excited I was wondering how long had this been going on. Forget the 9 to 5 job that just gets you by, that pays the bills but you don’t have anything left over to live on. I was going to make a killing, retire, work a few hours a day and live the good life!

Everything was great for a couple of weeks then I lost on a few trades, no big deal I will get it back on the next one. Because I had made good money for a couple of weeks I "knew I would get it back".

Then I began to learn what really goes on in the Forex world.

Swimming in shark infested water would be safer than playing with these guys.

Sometimes little bites, then big bites that almost break you in two, yes sir these guys know how to get at you.

This is what happened to me.

The market would be heading steadily in one direction then all of a sudden reverse and take my position out; you guessed it I would lose money. The weird thing about it was that when I did not set my stop loss it hardly happened to me. (The problem with putting a trade on without a stop loss is that you have to watch the trade all the time in case the market makes a big move against you, very dangerous.)

What was going on?

Ok there is a lesson here, the Forex broker was playing games with me he would manipulate the price to stop out my position and take my money! I found that one out too late, but you need to take note there are a lot of crooks out there in the Forex World. These guys know every trick in the book and they have been doing this for years. I started a demo account with another broker and compared the price movements and that’s how I found out that my broker was playing games.

Once I knew their tactics I could change brokers and see if the next one did the same or not put a stop loss on and spend all day in front of the computer. Well I still had to work and pay the bills so that was not going to work for me and frankly I did not have a lot of money left in the account to work with.

I learnt something else during this period; you need to take all the emotion out of your trading. I found that difficult as I had made money to start with and as I am not a robot, making money to start with turned out to be part of my downfall, it clouded my judgement.

What I needed and it is what you need!!!

An honest broker that is happy earning their money from the spread they get for each trade, their commission if you like.

A system that get better than 50% winners and takes the emotion out of the trading!

I was determined to get this Forex thing working for me; I could see the potential I just could not get it working for me.

So I tried several auto trading systems, some that only cost a $100 dollars and others that cost me over a thousand.

The real cheap ones could get a 50% or better winning trade result but only in certain market conditions. If the market was not working the way they assumed I would lose (I was only using demo accounts for these, I have learnt a little bit since I started trading Forex) and all the gains made would disappear.

The systems that cost a lot more where complicated you had heaps of setting that you had to adjust depending on things like, time of day, market trends- steady market volatile market, the currency pair that you were trading etc etc.

You getting the picture? You need to be an analytical person or plainly put a rocket scientist to get it right. I not either of them so that did not work.

Frankly it was all too hard and too costly and I needed a break.

I never gave up on the Forex market I just needed to regroup and start a fresh.

A few months later I was looking at a website that promised results in the Forex market. My first reaction was oh yea I have heard that before, yet I had a look.

These days I know what I am looking for:

• An automated system, to take the emotion out of it.

• A money back guarantee, if they don’t have one then they do not believe it works, so why should I.

• An honest broker that works with the system, it not much good having a system only to find out your broker can't or won't support it.

• A broker that has reasonable spreads, the commission the broker gets on each deal. If the spread is to much it is hard for a lot of systems to make money.

When you drop a few thousand on Forex courses and systems and then a few more on Forex trading, it prompts a lot of soul searching.

There are many different advantages to trading forex instead of futures or stocks, such as:

1. Lower Margin

Just like futures and stock speculation, a forex trader has the ability to control a large amount of the currency basically by putting up a small amount of margin. However, the margin requirements that are needed for trading futures are usually around 5% of the full value of the holding, or 50% of the total value of the stocks, the margin requirements for forex is about 1%. For example, margin required to trade foreign exchange is $1000 for every $100,000. What this means is that trading forex, a currency trader's money can play with 5-times as much value of product as a futures trader's, or 50 times more than a stock trader's. When you are trading on margin, this can be a very profitable way to create an investment strategy, but it's important that you take the time to understand the risks that are involved as well. You should make sure that you fully understand how your margin account is going to work. You will want to be sure that you read the margin agreement between you and your clearing firm. You will also want to talk to your account representative if you have any questions.

The positions that you have in your account could be partially or completely liquidated on the chance that the available margin in your account falls below a predetermined amount. You may not actually get a margin call before your positions are liquidated. Because of this, you should monitor your margin balance on a regular basis and utilize stop-loss orders on every open position to limit downside risk.

2. No Commission and No Exchange Fees

When you trade in futures, you have to pay exchange and brokerage fees. Trading forex has the advantage of being commission free. This is far better for you. Currency trading is a worldwide inter-bank market that lets buyers to be matched with sellers in an instant.

Even though you do not have to pay a commission charge to a broker to match the buyer up with the seller, the spread is usually larger than it is when you are trading futures. For example, if you were trading a Japanese Yen/US Dollar pair, forex trade would have about a 3 point spread (worth $30). Trading a JY futures trade would most likely have a spread of 1 point (worth $10) but you would also be charged the broker's commission on top of that. This price could be as low as $10 in-and-out for self-directed online trading, or as high as $50 for full-service trading. It is however, all inclusive pricing though. You are going to have to compare both online forex and your specific futures commission charge to see which commission is the greater one.

3. Limited Risk and Guaranteed Stops

When you are trading futures, your risk can be unlimited. For example, if you thought that the prices for Live Cattle were going to continue their upward trend in December 2003, just before the discovery of Mad Cow Disease found in US cattle. The price for it after that fell dramatically, which moved the limit down several days in a row. You would not have been able to leave your position and this could have wiped out the entire equity in your account as a result. As the price just kept on falling, you would have been obligated to find even more money to make up the deficit in your account.

4. Rollover of Positions

When futures contracts expire, you have to plan ahead if you are going to rollover your trades. Forex positions expire every two days and you need to rollover each trade just so that you can stay in your position.

5. 24-Hour Marketplace

With futures, you are generally limited to trading only during the few hours that each market is open in any one day. If a major news story breaks out when the markets are closed, you will not have a way of getting out of it until the market reopens, which could be many hours away. Forex, on the other hand, is a 24/5 market. The day begins in New York, and follows the sun around the globe through Europe, Asia, Australia and back to the US again. You can trade any time you like Monday-Friday.

6. Free market place

Foreign exchange is perhaps the largest market in the world with an average daily volume of US$1.4 trillion. That is 46 times as large as all the futures markets put together! With the huge number of people trading forex around the globe, it is very hard for even governments to control the price of their own currency.

There are many tools available to the FOREX trader for analyzing the market as well as for buying and selling currencies. Software tools are a necessary part of FOREX because of its volume and volatility. Software can be used to automate some of the trading procedures and safeguard against losses.

In order to make rational, successful trades, the FOREX trader needs information – lots of information. Current exchange rates are the tip of the iceberg – the trader needs historical data as well as current information about political and economic conditions that could affect currency prices. All this information is provided by many FOREX brokers on their web sites.

Successful FOREX trading relies on making accurate assessments of current political and economic conditions. Being able to predict whether a currency will fall or rise against another currency allows the FOREX trader to profit from currency movements.

There are two basic trading methods for buying and selling currencies.

1. Reactive trading means the trader responds to changes in the political or economic climate.

2. Speculative trading means the trader makes buying decisions based on predictions on how the market will respond to current events.

While most FOREX trading is speculative, both types of trade require up-to-the-minute information and an analysis of current and historical conditions.

Traders rely on both fundamental and technical analyses. Fundamental analysis is based on news information about political conditions, economic policies, trade patterns, interest rates and unemployment rates. Technical analysis relies on historical charting to identify trends and patterns over time. Information needed for both types of analyses is available in real time on the Internet. Most online brokers offer live news feeds and streaming rates for observing minute by minute changes in the market.

All this information can help you decide which currencies to buy. More tools are available to help you minimize your risk and maximize your profits.

Most of the tools that are available to you in the market are like PIP calculators, Pivot point calculators, etc. But however all these tools are used to make technical analyses to predict the upcoming trends in the market.

Now a days, all these tools will be available with the forex brokers with whom you are dealing. The forex brokers also provide the demo versions on how to use them. But whatever the tools are, all the tools that are provided are used to make the technical analyses.

Knowing about all the tools and their usage is good, but you alone as a forex trader needs a lot of time to make technical analyses using all those tools. For this reason, the forex brokers and other big forex expert organizations work with all the provided tools and make analyses and provides you the information called the Forex trading signals.

Providing you the forex trading signals is nothing but, that they are doing the technical analyses for you. But for providing those trading signals to you, they do charge from $50 to $200 a month for monthly subscriptions.

Forex brokers and the big forex expert organizations who provides you the trading signals by charging you will provide the individual tools like as I said earlier the PIP calculators, the Pivot point calculators etc, but they never provide you the comprehensive tool i.e “Automated Forex Trading System Software”.

The “Automated Forex Trading System Software” actually takes a single input and does all the calculations like Pip calculations, pivot point calculations etc, and generates the forex trading signals by itself and place the buy and sell orders automatically to the forex brokers with out ant human intervention.

Now many “Automated Forex Trading Software Systems” are available at low and affordable price. They are also of one time purchase. To operate them is very simple and the inputs that it requires also available free in the internet.

If you can use “Automated Forex Trading System Software”, you can really save a lot of time which you loose while researching on the technical analysis and also saves money which you spent for trading signals on monthly basis to forex signal services. At the same time there is no need for you to depend on any forex broker or on any forex expert organization for the forex trading signals, as you never know when these signal providers system can be down.

I highly recommend part time forex traders and newbie’s to use automated forex trading system software as they can really save lots of time and money.

Investing in foreign currencies is a relatively new avenue of investing. There are considerably fewer people are aware of this market than there are people aware of several other avenues of investing. Trading foreign currency, also known as forex, is the most lucrative investment market that exists. There are several factors that make this true among which, successful forex traders earn realistic profits of one hundred plus percent each month. Compared to some of the better known investment markets such as corporate stocks, this is an unheard of return on investment. It's very necessary to mention here that a person who invests in forex must, without exception, make it a point to learn the detailed, but simple strategies and information surrounding the market. This very fact is what makes the difference between successful forex traders and other traders.

A few additional points, which create such powerful leverage for investors within the forex market are: The amount of capital required to begin investing in the market is only three hundred dollars. For the most part, any other investment market is going to demand thousands of dollars of the investor in the beginning. Also, the market offers opportunities to profit regardless what the direction of the market may be; In most commonly known markets investors sit and wait for the market to begin an up trend before entering a trade. Even then, investors, as a rule must sit and wait some more to be able to exit the trade with a nice profit. Given that the forex market produces several up, down, and sideways trends in a single day, it can easily be seen that forex stands head and shoulders above other markets. Additionally there are trading strategies, which are taught that provide for compounded profits; these are profits on top of profits. In addition, free demo accounts are available within the industry of forex trading, which facilitate the sharpening of skills without the risk losing any capital. And the advantage regarding the time factor in trading foreign currency is a very attractive point for any investor. Compared to one of the most sought after avenues of investing, which often requires forty or more hours each week, namely in the real-estate market, the forex market requires a much smaller demand on the investor's time. Forex trading requires approximately ten to fifteen hours each week to earn a full time income. It's easy to see that the advantages and great leverage that exist in the forex market, make it among the most lucrative, time liberating, and easy to enter by far.

I hope this information gives you a clear understanding of how you can turn your investing into a true method of making your money work harder for you.

Sincerely,

Joe Clinton.

Just how do you figure into the whole equation of Forex online trading? It has been picking up of late and wherever you turn, there is always an ad or a bulletin reminding you of how good this venture is and how much money you can make. First of all, you need to sift through the hype and on the internet, there is plenty of it to go through. Financial companies spring up at a rate of one a day and this means that by the end of the year, there will be over 300 new ones as compared to the few thousand that is already available on the internet. Depending on the region that you are in, you may have access to a few hundred or maybe even more.

People in the United States and Europe especially have almost unlimited choice when it comes to choosing an online brokerage to get them started on their journey towards the currency market. What you need to understand that many of these ‘new’ companies are either umbrella satellite corporations set up by big financial firms (which is a good thing) or they are set up by financial experts or independent brokers. On the other side of the coin, a large chunk of these sites are also set up by retail investors who are trying to carve out another niche for themselves and this is where it gets a little tricky. You cannot just be jumping on the first bandwagon lacquered in gold.

There is a lot of sensationalism in sales copy that you have to avoid. There is no such thing as turning you into a Forex millionaire within the space of a day – only if you have $999,999 and make a dollar in a single investing day. There is just no way anyone can promise you that and this is because of the vastness of the Forex market and just how much information there is. Seasoned investors who have been at it a long time – have been at it a long time and there is no quick fix to a route to a million dollars. If that was the case, why are these brokers even offering you their services. Why give up that secret when they could be handily making a few million a year and retire before they turn thirty. You must be discerning and you must be selective.

Go with the big names and the trusted sources; sure you have to pay a little more, but you know you are getting quality and you know your money is in trusted hands. For a beginner, I would never suggest you try something like swap trading, day trading or even advanced tactics like hedging first. Go slow and get a feel for the market; in fact, sign yourself up for a simulated dummy account and try your hand at the market without any of the risk involved. Forex online trading can be a maze misinformation and dead-ends – it is up to you to avoid them.

Forex trading is fast becoming the top method of making money on the internet and plenty of average people are trying their hand at becoming millionaires. For most people, forex trading is a much needed source of a second income, to supplement their current single income from their main profession. However, the true potential to become very wealthy is not tapped by most such investors and they earn mere pennies on the dollar, compared with what they could be earning. While everyone has their own forex currency trading system, this will be in proportion to your risk appetite and will only bring the returns that you strive for.

While there are many ways to invest your money in currency, most people play safe by either investing small amounts or spreading their money very thin across the various currencies they are invested in. This makes for a very small return but practically no risk potential, since the bases are mostly covered so that if one currency depreciates, the other appreciates and the losses are minimal. However, clearly this will never make the forex trader a millionaire.

Life is short, and most forex trading millionaires made their money fast off the forex market. These individuals are generally highly leveraged, because they know that money makes money, and the more money they invest, the greater the risk and the greater the potential reward. Also, betting on unlikely currencies is risky and can have a huge potential upside.

So what exactly will leveraging yourself mean for you? You can start with a portfolio, meaning that you put your investment towards buying a part of the forex trading. Then, you buy shares of the forex trading the world over, depending on what countries appeal to you. The prices of these shares may rise slowly to increase your portfolio, and you are still playing safe. Once your total portfolio value goes over the 5000 dollar mark, you as a forex trader can apply for something known as a console, which now puts you in the position to act as an agent for others. At this point, you can process exchanges for small investors who want to buy and sell currencies through you. For each transaction processed, you will earn a fee of 6% and this can roll into your portfolio, increasing further, making your status as a forex trader more credible.

Other than an unlikely event such as a war or natural calamity, nothing on the forex market will give you a sudden unexpected windfall. Do not expect to become a millionaire over night. You will have to plan and strategize, and most importantly, leverage yourself, to truly make a lot of money. The forex market will generally move like the stock market, in small digits and only when you have plenty of money spread out on the forex market do you stand a chance of making a great deal of profit.

While this type of trading is not for the faint hearted, experience in forex trading will bring some confidence to your forex trading strategy, especially as you learn which systems work for you and which don't. As your level of confidence grows, the process will seem much less daunting. However, it is great to be cautious and be sure of any risks you take. That said, do remember that millionaires are always highly leveraged in the forex market – take calculated risks.

So what is is Forex trading you may ask? Forex is the exchange you can buy and sell currencies. For example, you might buy British pounds (by exchanging them to the dollars you had), then, after pounds / dollar ratio goes up, you sell pounds and buy dollars again. At the end of this operation you are going to have more dollars, then you had at the beginning.

The Forex market has much higher liquidity, then the stock market, as much more money is being exchanged. Forex is spread between banks all over the planet and as a result it means 24 hour trading.

Unlike stocks, Forex trades are performed with high leverage, usually it is 100. It means that by investing $1000 you can control $100,000, and increase potential profits accordingly. Some brokers provide also so called mini-Forex, where the size of minimum deposit equals $100. It makes possible for individuals to enter this market easily.

The name convention. In Forex, the name of a "symbol" is composed of two parts - one for first currency, and another for the second currency. For example, the symbol usdjpy stands for US dollars (usd) to Japanese yen (jpy).

As with stocks, you can apply tools of the technical analysis to Forex charts. Trader's indexes can be optimized for Forex "symbols", allowing you to find winning strategy.

Example Forex transaction

Assume you have a trading account of $25,000 and you are trading with a 1% margin requirement. The current quote for EUR/USD is 1.3225/28 and you place a market order to buy 1 lot of 100,000 Euros at 1.3228, expecting the euro to rise against the dollar. At the same time you place a stop-loss order at 1.3178 representing a maximum loss of 2% of your account equity if the trade goes against you, 50 pips below your order price, and a limit order at 1.3378, 150 pips above your order price. For this trade, you are risking 50 pips to gain 150 pips, giving you a risk/reward ratio of 1 part risk to 3 parts reward. This means that you only need to be right one third of the time to remain profitable.

The notional value of this trade is $132,280 (100,000 * 1.3228). Your required margin deposit is 1% of the total, which is equal to $1322.80 ($132,280 * 0.01).

As you expected, the Euro strengthens against the dollar and your limit order is reached at 1.3378. The position is closed. Your total profit for this trade is $1500, each pip being worth $10.
